It’s Mental Health Awareness Week, from the 9th

It’s Mental Health Awareness Week, from the 9th to the 15th in the UK, with the Mental Health foundation raising awareness and tackling loneliness
• one in four adults feel lonely some or all of the time
• the longer we feel lonely, the more we are at risk of mental health problems
loneliness can be especially difficult to live with, when you don’t feel you should even be lonely. that can be in a room surrounded by loved ones, or knowing there are people around you who you can call, but somehow don’t feel able to.
the best ways to combat it, though, is connecting with others. a smile to a stranger in the street, getting out and doing something you enjoy, or talk therapy.
check in with yourself, loved ones and if you’re after some amazing resources, the mental health foundation has listed a bunch of with useful tips and stories on their website

i’ve always been a notorious night writer when it comes to fiction. not that it’s healthy. I just have always found it easier, must be something about it being quieter and darker helps me to write feelings and emotions.
q: are you able to write a lot in the day, or like me find it easier at night?

myself and @rho.writes began an april ‘challenge’, one to sort of cheer on the other and because of it i’ve been writing more than I have in months.
while i’m not ready to add a title to this little sapphic number, it’s sweet and romantic, gorgeously pink and been the thing stealing my heart.
